Lisa Gingles works across drawing, collage and sculpture, giving form to animal and hybrid figures drawn from mythology, folklore, travel and memory. Alongside her larger enclosed works, she also makes smaller standalone cast pieces exploring texture and surface.
A companion piece to Rusted Pig, Oxidized Pig is a small cast plaster figure finished to resemble weathered, oxidised metal. Compact and unadorned, it continues the same minimal, texture-led approach, presenting the animal form on its own rather than within an enclosed setting.
