Blacklight Art Gallery was born from the reunion of Susana Do Santos and Elena Blasco Romero — friends, colleagues, and Fine Arts graduates — who, 30 years after completing their studies, came together once again to embark on a journey into the depths of art, combining technique, sensitivity, and soul.
Blacklight is a gallery specializing in contemporary figurative art, encompassing realism, pop surrealism, fantasy, illustration, and urban art, among other disciplines.
Our curatorial vision is grounded in a clear principle: we only represent works that possess both technical mastery and emotional truth. Pieces in which the artist has had the courage to reveal something genuine, giving the work a presence that deepens over time. Works that are not simply acquired, but lived with.
If you collect this kind of art — or feel that the time has come to begin — this is your place.
We work with internationally acclaimed artists alongside a carefully selected group of emerging voices — both Spanish and international — in whom we firmly believe. We continuously research the global art scene in order to bring our collectors the most relevant and meaningful developments taking place in contemporary art, beyond geographical boundaries.
At its core, Blacklight is a gallery that creates dialogue. Dialogues between artists from different cultures, traditions, and visual languages. We have brought together as many as eleven different nationalities within a single group exhibition — proof that figurative art, when curated with discernment, has the power to build bridges.
We understand that building a collection is a personal dialogue. For this reason, every Blacklight client receives fully personalized guidance — whether acquiring a first original artwork or expanding an established collection.
Trusting our curatorial vision means staying ahead: discovering today what the market will value tomorrow, guided by a gallery that places international artistic research at the heart of its practice.
