The Early Years: A Passion for Fun and Friends
Diego As, an urban artist from Lugo, began his artistic journey in his neighborhood. What started as a fun way to hang out with friends quickly grew into a passion for street art. Without any grand ambitions, Diego spent his days searching for walls to leave his mark and share moments of creativity with those around him.
Education and Artistic Growth
His formal education began when he enrolled at the School of Arts in Lugo. There, he trained in various disciplines, including screen printing, engraving, and stamping. His art evolved, paralleling the growth of his murals, and a significant turning point in his career came with the creation of the "Julius Caesar" mural, a tribute to Lugo's Roman history.
International Recognition and Artistic Journey
Since the creation of that mural, Diego's art has taken him to cities around the world. His experiences working on murals in different countries have been both professionally enriching and personally fulfilling.
Beyond the Mural: Family, Canvases, and Continued Exploration
When not working on large-scale projects, Diego dedicates his time to his family and experimenting with various media and artistic techniques, including painting canvases and screen printing.
