CULTURPLAZA – New cultural space

A new contemporary art gallery called BlackLight is opening in Valencia, Spain, founded by Susana Do Santos and Elena Blasco Romero. Located at Calle Reina Na Germana 20, its primary mission is to enrich the local cultural scene by showcasing primarily international artists who rarely or have never exhibited in Valencia.
The gallery’s name, “BlackLight,” references the tool used in art authentication and symbolizes its focus on revealing hidden artistic processes and techniques. Beyond exhibitions, the space plans to host workshops and masterclasses.
Its official launch is planned for September to coincide with the city’s gallery opening season, Abierto València. The inaugural exhibition will be a collective show, with Valencia-born international artist Olga Esther noted as a central “pillar” of the first presentation.
