Jorge Castañeda / Dos Diablos: The Alchemy of Dark Fantasy

Jorge Castañeda, known professionally as Dos Diablos, is a Mexican painter and creature designer whose work masterfully bridges Old Master technique and contemporary dark fantasy. Transitioning from a foundation in editorial illustration, he now works primarily in oils, developing a distinctive aesthetic that draws from art historical tradition and surreal horror.

His practice is characterized by a pursuit of grotesque beauty, applying classical methods to monstrous, nightmarish subjects. Each meticulously detailed work explores visceral human emotions, giving form to chilling sensations and twisted narratives.
