Santi Onasu was born in Valencia, Spain, at the crossroads of two worlds that rarely speak to each other: the geometric rigour of the digital and the irreversible materiality of the handmade. After more than a decade collaborating with companies such as Disney, Apple, Meta and The Washington Post, his work underwent a progressive shift away from the screen — not a rupture, but an expansion into wood, relief and physical space.
Through geometry and the use of relief, Onasu constructs a universe of entities that appear rescued from an ancient folklore yet pulse with the energy of modern fiction. Objects that feel simultaneously ancient and contemporary, suspended between the fantastical and the formal.
For the collector, Onasu represents a singular opportunity: an artist with first-rate credentials in the global digital market who has deliberately chosen the path of the material and the unique. His pieces are not serially reproducible — they carry the time, the decision and the artist’s hand embedded in every layer. To collect Onasu’s work is to anticipate a trajectory that already has solid foundations and is only just beginning to reveal its sculptural dimension.
