Nunzio Paci is an Italian contemporary artist whose work explores the intricate relationships between anatomy, botany, and mythology. Through his masterful draftsmanship and symbolic compositions, he creates visions where biological forms merge and transform in impossible yet poetically coherent ways. His distinctive style bridges scientific illustration and surreal symbolism, featuring anatomical and botanical hybridizations where human forms intertwine with floral elements. Paci employs meticulous graphite work combined with delicate tempera glazes, using a palette dominated by earthy tones, blood reds, and ethereal flesh tones. His work draws from diverse influences including Renaissance anatomy studies, Baroque drama, and contemporary bio-art, serving as visual metaphors exploring themes of transience, interconnectedness, and the fragile boundaries between human, animal, and plant kingdoms. The artist has exhibited extensively throughout Europe with shows at Dorothy Circus Gallery and Strychnin Gallery, and participates in international art fairs including Context Art Miami.
