Thomas Gieseke was born 12 December, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri USA.
Gieseke grew up heavily influenced by the rebellious pop culture of the ’60s. Gieseke’s style was affected by the psychedelic posters, underground comics, and other zesty imagery of the times. The bulk of his career was spent in illustration for national magazines, book covers, advertising agencies and their clients. He has illustrated greeting cards, record covers, school notebooks, and just about everything else. He utilizes the skills he honed as an illustrator for his paintings.
