I am Diego As, an urban artist from Lugo, and I primarily focus on large-scale muralism.
It hasn’t always been this way. I started painting in my neighborhood with the sole intention of having fun with friends and sharing some laughs. I spent my days out on the street, searching for walls to leave my mark without any real pretensions.
Later on, I enrolled in the School of Arts in Lugo, where I began to train in various disciplines such as screen printing, engraving, and stamping. From that moment on, my art grew just as the size of my murals did, and the breakthrough came with the “Julius Caesar” mural, which I created next to the wall of my city as a tribute to our Roman past.
Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to leave my traces in many cities across different countries and continents—experiences that have enriched me both professionally and personally.
When I’m not on a crane or scaffold creating murals, I dedicate my time to my family, painting canvases, screen printing, and researching various media and artistic techniques.
